Ginger Turmeric Tonic Recipe

First it was kombucha, then it became mocktails that approximate a cocktail without the alcohol. The latest incarnation of this nonalcoholic drink trend are cleansing recipes full of healthy ingredients that are still fun to drink.
This Ginger Turmeric Tonic recipe fits the bill to a T, with several high nutrient ingredients alongside Ancient Nutrition's exciting new product, Herbal Cider Vinegar tincture. This first-of-its-kind formula combines apple cider vinegar with over 10 organic, regenerative superfood ingredients, most of which are grown on our own organic, regenerative farmland.
Raw ginger: Ginger is loaded with beneficial compounds, over 100 in fact. It also imparts a zesty, peppery flavor.
Turmeric: One of the most powerful spices on the planet, curcumin is the active ingredient responsible for so many of its benefits. Its distinctive color also makes this ginger turmeric tonic eye-catching. Try our turmeric latte, too.
Cinnamon: Did you know that this spice ranks No. 1 out of 26 of the most popular herbs and spices in the world in terms of its protective antioxidant levels? It also imparts a lovely flavor.
Lemon: Lemons add that bittersweet flavor that no mocktail should be without, and they're an excellent source of vitamin C, antioxidants and fiber.
Raw honey: Unfiltered and unpasteurized, raw honey means no processing or heating to decrease its natural vitamin and mineral content.
Herbal Cider Vinegar: On top of the benefits and flavor of apple cider vinegar comes a regenerative blend of antioxidant-filled ingredients like holy basil, elderberry and guava.
First, chop up the ginger root. The place the ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, pepper and water into a medium saucepan. Heat on high and bring to a boil.
Reduce to a simmer and continue to cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Place a colander or strainer over a medium heatproof bowl and strain the spice-filled syrup.
In a separate bowl, whisk in the lemon juice, honey and Herbal Cider Vinegar. Add to the turmeric mixture along with 2 cups of water. Allow the mixture to come to room temperature.
Give the mixture another stir, and then serve in a glass over ice and add optional lemon slices for garnish.
This delicious ginger turmeric tonic can be stored in the refrigerator in an air-tight container for up to two weeks.

How to Hydrate Skin
Even if you employ a daily skincare routine, many of us get frustrated with the results. It’s hard to be happy with the way your skin looks if it’s occasionally dry, dull or sensitive, which is why skin hydration is so important. With loads of serums, moisturizers and beauty routines (such as the new trend called skin cycling) available, it’s difficult to know what really hydrates skin versus what’s a waste of your money and time.
