New Multi Collagen Protein: Reformulated with Proven Benefits
By Jill Levy
February 8, 2021
In every breath we take and every move (and yes, even bowel movement!) we make, a protein called collagen is playing an important role.
Collagen is the single most abundant protein in the human body — and the entire animal kingdom.
In fact, approximately 90 percent of our bones are made up collagen, combining with calcium to create the living tissue that makes bones strong yet flexible enough to withstand stress. (Maybe “Got Collagen?” commercials should have been a thing growing up.)
There are seemingly countless other roles collagen generally plays in the human body, too.
Collagen helps form the lining of the gut, where it plays a part in helping to keep food particles and waste products from escaping into the bloodstream. Collagen even naturally resides in your arteries, reinforcing arterial walls and helping to maintain integrity and strength in these important blood vessels.
It helps form the fascia that encases your organs and is a building block of your skin, holding things in place inside and out. As an essential joint component, collagen assists in forming your cartilage, tendons and ligaments, playing a pivotal role in how you move about in the world.
Substantial collagen also resides in the corneas of your eyes, along with your spinal discs — the rubbery pads that keep your vertebra from grinding together. It’s even inside the dentin of your teeth.
It may come as no surprise, then, that the term “collagen” comes from “kólla” — the Greek word for glue.
It’s the glue that holds us together.
Knowing all of this, I’m often surprised when I hear that collagen — and the fact that our body naturally produces less and less of it as we age — isn’t part of routine wellness conversations.
I believe collagen is so central to foundational wellness. That’s why I’ve tapped into my clinical nutritionist training and dedicated the better part of my career to understanding collagen and formulating a supplement that unlocks its potential like never before.
As a co-founder and supplement formulator at Ancient Nutrition, I’ve not only received thousands of testimonials about the gut, skin, joint and nail support Multi Collagen Protein offers, but I’ve lived it, too. This is the collagen my family and I have turned to for years.
Because our bodies contain multiple types of collagen, I always found it important to utilize real-food collagen supplements that contain not one, two or even three types of collagen — but 10! (These 10 types come from 4 food-sources: chicken, bovine, fish and eggshell membrane.)
And our collagen is still sourced from non-GMO, grass-fed and pasture-raised, cage-free and cruelty-free sources, and is made without hormones.
Still, my team and I are constantly innovating and looking for new ways to unlock nutrients. So I’m happy to announce we’ve taken things a step even further using the power of fermentation and carefully selected supporting ingredients to offer a Multi Collagen Protein formula unlike anything out there.
The new Multi Collagen Protein formula is the only one with a collagen ingredient and a probiotic ingredient backed by multiple human clinical trials and is proven to deliver real results.
The upgraded formulation is powered by a clinically studied fermented collagen, which is a first-of-its-kind that results in smaller collagen peptides for faster, easier and more beneficial absorption. It also includes 100 percent of adults’ daily recommended intake of vitamin C, along with the soil-based probiotic .
Since vitamin C is required for the body to manufacture collagen, it’s a newly added ingredient that goes beyond healthy immune system support.
Are you ready? This first-of-its-kind collagen formula …

Jordan Rubin, Ancient Nutrition co-founder, and I believe a diversity of healthy, beneficial microbes in the gut is key to a better body. And the same is true for the soil and farming.
We use all of the accessible waste material and by-product material from the manufacturing of our fermented collagen and compost it on our farm to naturally invigorate the soil and grow new crops — some of which become ingredients in other Ancient Nutrition products.
Creating healthy life in the soil not only produces more resilient crops, it reduces the need for polluting outside inputs like pesticides and chemical fertilizers. Healthy soil is also rich in microbial life that helps pull in and store carbon, keeping it out of the atmosphere where it impacts the climate. Beyond that, healthy soil also reduces flooding and much more.
Multi Collagen Protein is available in an easily dissolvable unflavored powder, making it easy to add to your favorite coffee, latte, tea, baked goods, soups, rice and smoothies.
Multi Collagen capsules are also available and easy to take on busy days or when you’re traveling.
Our new Multi Collagen Protein Immune features added healthy immune system support and promotes increased uptake, bioavailability and cell retention of vitamin C.
As always, Ancient Nutrition collagen is free of any artificial flavors, sweeteners and colors.
