Peach cobbler overnight oats

Overnight oats are popular because they’re ready to go the next morning, they’re an ideal breakfast with good amounts of each macronutrient (carbs, fat and protein), plus you can so easily customize them. This time of year the great overnight oat recipe is with peaches.

Called the peach cobbler overnight oats, it also includes a scoop of vanilla whey protein so you go a little higher in protein than regular overnight oats. Drizzling in some honey and topping with some yogurt, sautéed peaches and cinnamon completes the experience for one of the best tasting breakfasts.

Why add whey protein powder to your overnight oats?

Adding whey protein powder to overnight oats is an easy way to boost both the nutrition and staying power of your breakfast. Here are the main benefits:

  • Increases protein intake: Whey protein adds high-quality, complete protein with all nine essential amino acids to help support muscle maintenance and recovery. Ancient Nutrition’s Vanilla Whey Protein also has collagen for added skin and joint benefits.

  • Keeps you full longer: Pairing protein with the fiber in oats can increase satiety, helping curb hunger between meals.

  • Supports muscle health: Protein helps repair and rebuild muscle tissue after exercise and is especially important for active individuals and healthy aging.

  • Creates a creamier texture: Whey protein blends into the oats, making them thicker and creamier after soaking overnight.

  • Adds flavor naturally: Flavored whey proteins, such as vanilla or cinnamon, can sweeten overnight oats without the need for much added sugar.

  • Makes breakfast more balanced: Combining protein, complex carbohydrates, healthy fats and fiber create a well-rounded meal that provides sustained energy throughout the morning.

  • Convenient nutrition: Mixing protein powder into overnight oats is an easy way to increase your daily protein intake without extra cooking or preparation.

For best results, stir the whey protein into the oats with the milk before refrigerating overnight. If the mixture becomes too thick, simply add a splash of milk in the morning and stir before serving.

Key ingredients

  • Rolled oats: Rich in fiber and complex carbohydrates, rolled oats provide lasting energy while creating the creamy, hearty base of overnight oats.

  • Ancient Nutrition’s Vanilla Whey Protein: Delivers complete protein to support muscle health and satiety while adding a smooth, creamy texture and naturally sweet vanilla flavor.

  • Honey: Adds a touch of natural sweetness and helps balance the flavors without overpowering the fruit.

  • Peach: Provides natural sweetness, fiber, vitamin C and antioxidants while adding a juicy, refreshing flavor.

  • Greek yogurt: Adds extra protein, calcium and probiotics while making the oats thick, creamy and tangy.

  • Cinnamon: Enhances the flavor with warm spice while contributing antioxidant plant compounds.

How to make peach cobbler overnight oats

If you love the comforting flavors of peach cobbler but want a nourishing breakfast, these Peach Cobbler Overnight Oats are the perfect solution. Made with wholesome oats, juicy peaches and Ancient Nutrition’s Vanilla Whey Protein (or you can use vanilla cinnamon flavored Whey Protein + Fat Loss Blend), this make-ahead breakfast is packed with protein and fiber to help keep you satisfied all morning.

To prepare, combine one cup of rolled oats, one scoop of whey protein, one teaspoon (or more) of honey and half of a peach (chopped) in a jar or airtight container. Stir well until everything is evenly combined. Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, or ideally overnight, allowing the oats to soften and absorb the flavors.

When you're ready to enjoy, chop up the other half of peach and sauté in butter for a couple of minutes. Give the oats a quick stir and scoop out into a bowl. Top with a quarter-cup of Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla), the sautéed peaches and a generous sprinkle of cinnamon.

The creamy oats, sweet peaches and cozy spices taste just like peach cobbler — but with the added benefits of protein and whole grains. It's an easy, delicious breakfast that's ready whenever you are.
