Pumpkin cream latte

With fall almost here, we begin thinking/dreaming about pumpkin-flavored drinks. With that in mind, Ancient Nutrition got their food scientists together to create a delicious Pumpkin Cream flavor in the best-selling Multi Collagen Protein line. You can simply mix it with 8 ounces of liquid, from cold to hot, or you can leverage it as the main ingredient in this pumpkin spice cream latte.

The great news is that creating your own pumpkin cream latte won’t require barista training. We’re talking just three ingredients and a couple of steps. There’s some optional additions, too, but we leave that up to you! Let’s get started.

Pumpkin spice cream latte ingredients

The core ingredients for this latte is espresso (or strong coffee), a milk of your choice and Ancient Nutrition’s Multi Collagen Protein Pumpkin Cream powder. Optionally, you can add pumpkin puree, maple syrup, vanilla extract and coconut whipped cream.

Coffee

The best coffee for a latte is espresso, which forms the rich, concentrated base that balances the creamy steamed milk.

If you don't have an espresso machine, brew your coffee slightly stronger than usual. While the flavor won't be quite as bold as espresso, it still makes a delicious homemade latte.

A French press produces a full-bodied coffee with rich flavor that works well in lattes, especially if brewed with a slightly higher coffee-to-water ratio.

For an iced latte, consider going with a cold brew. It has a naturally smooth, low-acid flavor that pairs well with milk and is perfect for refreshing iced lattes.

Milk

Whole milk is the traditional choice for coffee shops, as it creates a rich, velvety texture with smooth microfoam that's ideal for lattes. Its natural fat content balances the bitterness of espresso and enhances sweetness. You may prefer A2 milk for better digestibility.

Oat milk is one of the most popular dairy-free options because of its naturally creamy consistency and mild sweetness. Note there are barista-style oat milks are specially formulated to steam and froth well.

Almond milk is lower in calories but produces a lighter, less stable foam. Choosing a barista blend can improve frothing when added to espresso.

Multi Collagen Protein Pumpkin Cream

Powered by 10 types of collagen and 20 g of hydrolyzed collagen peptides per scoop, plus clinically studied ingredients like fermented eggshell membrane collagen, SBO probiotics and 100% Daily Value of Vitamin C, this formula supports healthy skin, hair, nails, joints and gut health.

Unlike whey protein, collagen doesn't create a thick or frothy texture on its own. Instead, it blends seamlessly into the coffee while allowing the steamed milk to remain the star of the latte. The result is a smooth, creamy drink that looks and tastes like a traditional latte while delivering added nutritional benefits.

How to make a pumpkin spice cream latte

Skip the coffee shop and make this cozy pumpkin spice cream latte at home in just a few minutes. Made with espresso, steamed milk and Ancient Nutrition’s Pumpkin Cream Multi Collagen Protein, this homemade version delivers all the warm fall flavors you love with the added benefits of collagen.

Start by brewing 2 shots of espresso using an espresso machine or stovetop espresso maker. If you don't have either, simply brew your favorite coffee a little stronger than usual using a drip coffee maker or French press.

Meanwhile, pour your milk of choice into a small saucepan and warm it over medium-low heat until it's hot and just beginning to steam. Avoid bringing it to a boil, as gently heated milk creates the creamiest foam.

Pour the hot espresso into your favorite big mug and whisk in the Pumpkin Cream Multi Collagen Protein until completely dissolved. If you'd like an even richer pumpkin flavor, stir in a spoonful of pumpkin purée, along with a teaspoon of vanilla extract and a drizzle of maple syrup to taste.

Next, use a handheld milk frother to froth the warm milk for about 30 seconds, or until it's light and foamy. Slowly pour the steamed milk into the mug, then spoon the remaining foam over the top to create a café-style finish.

For an extra-special touch, top your latte with coconut whipped cream and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice. Serve immediately and enjoy a comforting fall favorite that's creamy, flavorful and packed with collagen support.
