Collagen Fudge Recipe Plus 5 Variations
By Ethan Boldt

Collagen fudge is the perfect “feel-good” dessert — it’s rich and indulgent yet packed with functional nutrition. Unlike traditional fudge loaded with sugar and empty calories, collagen fudge offers a creamy, satisfying treat that also supports your skin, joints and gut.
We provide a collagen fudge recipe in addition to six variations, including a peanut butter chocolate fudge as well as a holiday chocolate peppermint fudge. Yum! Each recipe uses just a few ingredients to create a creamy texture that you then place in the freezer for perfect small squares of fudge.
If you desire, rather than using natural sweeteners like maple syrup or raw honey, you can also make each of these recipes low in carbs and keto friendly. Let’s get started.
Coconut oil or grass-fed butter forms the base of collagen fudge, giving it a rich, silky texture while providing nourishing fats. Coconut oil is rich in medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs), which are quickly used by the body for energy, helping to support metabolism, brain function and satiety. Grass-fed butter, meanwhile, is a natural source of fat-soluble vitamins like A, D, E and K2, which play key roles in hormone balance, skin health and bone strength. Together, they create a creamy foundation that supports energy and helps to stabilize blood sugar levels.
Nut butter adds both flavor and nutrition, offering a dose of healthy monounsaturated fats, plant-based protein, and fiber to promote fullness and steady energy. You can go with almond butter, cashew butter or peanut butter. It also contributes minerals like magnesium and zinc, which are vital for muscle function, hormone production and overall stress resilience. Nut butter lends natural sweetness and creaminess, enhancing the fudge’s richness without the need for refined sugars.
Cacao powder (or unsweetened cocoa powder) brings the deep chocolate flavor while delivering a potent antioxidant boost. It’s rich in flavonoids that support heart health, circulation and healthy inflammation levels. Cacao also helps elevate mood and focus, thanks to natural compounds that increase serotonin and endorphins.
To sweeten the fudge, natural options like maple syrup (or raw honey) or calorie-free sweeteners such as monk fruit or stevia can be used. You can also try a calorie-free blend of stevia and erythritol (like Truvia Natural Sweetener) that’s twice as sweet as sugar.
Maple syrup provides subtle sweetness along with trace minerals like manganese and zinc, plus antioxidants that make it a more wholesome alternative to refined sugar. Low-carb sweeteners, on the other hand, offer a way to enjoy dessert without blood sugar spikes, supporting steady energy and metabolic balance.
Finally, collagen powder is what makes this dessert truly functional. As the body’s most abundant protein, collagen supports skin elasticity, joint comfort and gut integrity. It’s especially rich in the amino acids glycine and proline, which help repair tissues and strengthen the gut lining. Adding collagen to fudge transforms it from a simple sweet treat into a nourishing, beauty- and performance-boosting dessert that benefits your body from the inside out.
To make the collagen fudge, start by melting the base ingredients. In a small saucepan over low heat, gently warm the coconut oil (or butter) and nut butter (peanut, almond or cashew), stirring often until the mixture becomes smooth and fully combined.
Once melted, remove the pan from the heat and whisk in the cacao powder, collagen powder (unflavored or chocolate), maple syrup (or calorie-free sweetener, vanilla and a pinch of salt. Stir until the mixture is completely smooth and glossy.
Next, pour the fudge mixture into a parchment-lined loaf pan or silicone mold, spreading it evenly with a spatula. If you’d like, sprinkle optional toppings such as chopped nuts, shredded coconut or a light dusting of cinnamon over the top for added flavor and texture.
Place the pan in the freezer and let the fudge chill for about 30 to 45 minutes, or until it’s firm enough to cut. Once set, remove from the freezer and slice into small, bite-sized squares.
Store your collagen fudge in the refrigerator for up to two weeks or keep it in the freezer for up to three months for a quick, nutrient-rich treat anytime.
Similar to the base recipe, this one also adds in dark chocolate chips. Some people enjoy not just the extra sweet of the chocolate chips but how these fudge pieces look.
This version goes with cashew butter as the nut butter and even includes coconut flour. The collagen can come from Ancient Nutrition’s Keto Protein Vanilla or Multi Collagen Protein Vanilla.
This fudge recipe creates a classic chocolatey fudge. It uses some milk (nut or cow-based) in the mixture and a chocolate-flavored collagen powder.
This is the pumpkin spice spin on collagen fudge, courtesy of Bone Broth Protein Pumpkin Spice. Adding a layer of chopped pecans or walnuts dresses these up nicely as well.
With peppermint, white chocolate and even candy canes, this is a holiday version of collagen fudge that will wow anyone. It includes the limited edition flavor of Multi Collagen Protein: Peppermint Dark Chocolate.
While you can enjoy pure fudge without any add-ins, sometimes they add a flavor, texture and crunch that dresses up the dessert in just the right way. Here are some top options:
Chopped nuts or seeds
Shredded coconut
Mini dark chocolate chips
Cacao nibs
Dash of cinnamon or espresso powder
Sprinkle of sea salt
