What is the difference between Bone Broth Protein and Bone Broth Collagen products (bone broth vs. collagen)?

Bone Broth Protein contains chicken bone broth protein concentrate with naturally occurring type II collagen and beef bone broth protein concentrate, which offers collagen types I and III. Bone Broth Collagen includes collagen from beef and chicken. While both products provide a great protein boost, Bone Broth Protein has 20g of protein and Bone Broth Collagen has 14g of protein per serving.

Why doesn't "hydrolyzed" appear on the Bone Broth Collagen label?

Bone Broth Collagen is naturally hydrolyzed into peptides. Hydrolysis is a predigestion. Because the collagen is naturally hydrolyzed and does not go through an enzyme hydrolysis, it is not labeled as being hydrolyzed.

What is bone broth?

Bone broth is an ancient superfood. It can be made from any animal with bones, but many of the popular sources of these broths include chicken, turkey, beef and fish. While it is typically made with bone, it can also contain a small amount of meat adhering to the bones. Bone broth is simmered for a long period of time — usually for at least 8 hours and sometimes as much as 24 hours to 48 hours. The purpose of this long cooking process is not only to produce gelatin from collagen-rich joints, but to also release small amounts of trace minerals from bones. Bone Broth Collagen is an easy way to get the benefits, without the work.

Yes. Please keep in mind that packages are filled by weight and not volume. Your product will settle over time and may appear half (or even less than half) full when opened.

We now have a disclaimer that is on ALL of our products: "Produced on equipment that may also process peanuts, tree nuts, milk, soybean, wheat, sesame, shellfish, fish, egg." This is a voluntary disclaimer and our formulations have not changed. Our manufacturers are required to have Policies and Procedures in place when it comes to handling and processing allergens. These allergen programs are in place to prevent cross contamination after each run by proper cleaning procedures. Allergen swab testing is also done after running an allergen containing product. We test finished products for allergens prior to designating as “Free” of. We also follow cGMP (current good manufacturing practices) which guarantees allergen segregation.
