Cherry Vanilla Hormone Support Smoothie

When a new collagen powder is created, I consider it a challenge to me as a nutritionist to create the perfect smoothie. For Ancient Nutrition’s Hormone Balance + Collagen vanilla-flavored powder, I couldn’t wait to get started in the test kitchen.
Why? This collagen includes all my favorite hormone-supporting remedies plus the collagen benefits that we know and love. I’m so excited about this formula because it combines powerful adaptogens, hormone-balancing botanicals and collagen peptides for total support — from skin to stress to cycle.
I created a creamy cherry vanilla smoothie that’s refreshing, hormone-friendly and super satisfying. It’s filling enough to be your breakfast, or a large snack, and I hope it makes it into your weekly repertoire.
If you’ve ever felt like your hormones are out of sync, your energy is on a rollercoaster, or PMS is running the show, you are NOT alone. While it’s tempting to target estrogen or progesterone, here’s the thing: We always must address cortisol (your body’s primary stress hormone) first. It’s often the silent troublemaker behind hormone imbalances.
Ancient Nutrition’s Hormone Balance + Collagen works by targeting key areas of hormonal health. It helps balance estrogen levels, modulate cortisol (the stress hormone) and supports female sexual health.
Here are just a few of the standout benefits:
Supports female hormone and estrogen balance
Helps manage stress-related weight and cravings
Enhances sexual wellness and mood
Supports cognitive health and memory
Reduces fatigue, tension and occasional bloating
Balances cortisol to help your body adapt to stress
Meanwhile, the collagen provides joint and cartilage support along with digestive support.
Two of my favorite hormone heroes are included in this blend:
Ashwagandha: This ancient adaptogen enhances the body’s resilience to stress, including helping to regulate cortisol. Adaptogens help our bodies manage stress and restore balance after a stressful situation.
Chaste tree berry extract: This powerful herb is traditionally used to support overall hormone balance.
I sometimes recommend a separate hormone support supplement to go along with collagen, but now it’s all in one scoop.
Beyond the Hormone Balance + Collagen powder, I’ve included multiple complementary ingredients for a nutrition-rich and delicious smoothie.
Fruits include frozen cherries and a quarter of a frozen banana, which helps with texture. Greens are also recommended, such as a half cup of spinach.
Greek yogurt provides both protein and fat to help fill you, while flaxseed meal provides both omega 3 fats and fiber for an additional satiety effect.
This is an exceptionally well-balanced smoothie, with 34 grams of carbohydrates (including a whopping 7 grams of fiber), 14 grams of fat and 29 (!) grams of protein in each 397-calorie serving. At nearly 400 calories, it’s perfect for a breakfast or big snack later in the day.
Plus, nutrition facts of this hormone support smoothie are off the charts. It includes over 50 percent Daily Value (DV) of vitamins A, K and D3. It includes over 25 percent DV of six minerals, including copper, phosphorus, manganese, manganese, calcium and zinc. It also includes over 25 percent DV of five B vitamins, including B12.
