Question 1

What are the benefits of Whey Protein?

Accepted Answer

Whey Protein is a convenient, tasty, and gut-friendly way to increase your daily protein intake. It’s packed with essential amino acids that support muscle maintenance and growth, aid in post-workout recovery, and help your joints, tendons, and muscles stay healthy†. Whey Protein also helps preserve lean muscle mass (which is crucial as we age – did you know that it’s normal for people to lose up to 10% of muscle per decade after the age of 40?) and can help you feel satisfied and full, which can support your body composition goals. And because our Whey Protein is enhanced with eggshell membrane collagen, it’s also incredible for skin health – it can help noticeably improve the appearance of crow’s feet and your skin†.

Question 2

What is A2/A2 milk protein?

Accepted Answer

A2/A2 milk protein comes from cows that produce only the A2 type of beta-casein, which is the same primary protein found in human milk and is often easier for humans to digest. Originally, all cow's milk contained only A2 beta-casein, but over time a genetic mutation introduced the A1 variant. Most cow's milk available on the market today is a mix of A1 and A2 proteins, but A1 can be harder to digest for some individuals. A2/A2 milk is sourced from cows bred to eliminate the A1 protein. This makes A2/A2 milk a great option for those who want to avoid regular milk – plus, A2/A2 milk has an admirable nutrient profile, including calcium, vitamin B12, and protein. We’ve chosen to use exclusively grass-fed whey and organic regenerative A2/A2 milk protein in our Whey Protein formula, so you can get the benefits of milk and whey protein in an easy-to-digest way.

Question 3

What is unique about this formula?

Accepted Answer

Most whey protein formulas are exclusively whey, and often they’re a whey isolate, which is a highly processed form of whey. We use a combination of grass-fed whey protein concentrate and regenerative A2/A2 milk protein. Milk protein, sourced from healthy cows on regeneratively farmed soil, is a nutrient-filled superfood that provides amino acids, energy from lactose and protein. Whey protein is highly effective for muscle maintenance, strength building, and recovery. Choosing a protein powder with both A2/A2 milk protein and whey offers the best of both worlds. Together, they provide a comprehensive protein source that supports muscle health, digestive comfort, and joint recovery†, making it an ideal choice for an active and balanced lifestyle.

Question 4

How should I take Whey Protein?

Accepted Answer

Whey Protein is incredibly versatile. It’s delicious mixed with water, milk, or non-dairy milk (try using a frother or a shaker bottle for the smoothest blend of powder and liquid). Or, try adding a scoop to your daily smoothie – our Milk Chocolate, Vanilla Bean and Chocolate Peanut Butter all provide a light, smooth sweetness. You can even mix it into a warm drink for a wellness-inspired hot chocolate or vanilla latte, or bake with it. We’ve heard people like to mix Whey Protein up post-workout to help their muscles and joints recover† optimally, but you can take it at any time of day and still see incredible results.

Question 6

Where do you source the grass-fed whey protein concentrate from?

Accepted Answer

Our grass-fed whey protein concentrate is sourced from American grass-fed cows that are raised without hormones or antibiotics, including rBST and rBGH.

Question 7

Where do you source the organic regenerative A2/A2 milk protein from?

Accepted Answer

We source our organic regenerative A2/A2 milk protein from a dedicated, family-owned farm in the United States. The farm employs regenerative organic farming practices, ensuring that the cows graze on lush, nutrient-rich pastures. These practices produce high-quality milk while promoting soil health and animal welfare. By focusing on breeding cows that naturally produce only A2 beta-casein protein, the farm provides milk that is gentle on the gut, allowing you to enjoy all the benefits of dairy.

Question 8

What are the benefits of the eggshell membrane collagen?

Accepted Answer

Our proprietary, clinically studied eggshell membrane collagen ingredient has benefits for your whole body. Scientific studies show that it promotes healthy hair growth; improves the appearance of crow’s feet after 4 weeks†; improves skin appearance and skin health†; supports healthy joints†; helps reduce joint discomfort†; helps improve joint recovery†; and helps promote healthy joint mobility†.

Question 9

Can Whey Protein help with weight loss?

Accepted Answer

Whey Protein is not a weight loss supplement. However, supplementing with protein can help you feel more satisfied and full between meals (which can help reduce snacking, so you can reach your goals). It can also help you achieve a healthy body composition, which can mean more lean muscle and less body fat.

Question 10

Can I use Whey Protein in baking or hot drinks?

Accepted Answer

We don’t recommend it. Whey protein is sensitive to high heat which can cause clumping and curdling and may also reduce effectiveness. For best results, enjoy it in shakes, smoothies, or other cold or room-temperature recipes.

Question 11

What are the differences between Whey Protein, Bone Broth Protein and Plant Protein+?

Accepted Answer

All of our protein formulas provide muscle- and strength-building support, and they help you easily reach your daily protein goals. Their primary differences lie in where the protein is sourced from. Our Whey Protein formula combines grass-fed whey protein concentrate with regenerative A2/A2 milk protein and eggshell membrane collagen. It provides 23 grams of protein, 6 grams of Branched-Chain Amino Acids per serving, and it includes dairy. It’s available in three flavors: Vanilla Bean, Milk Chocolate and Chocolate Peanut Butter. Bone Broth Protein provides 18-20 grams of protein per serving (depending on flavor and formula) exclusively from chicken and/or beef bone broth protein concentrate. That means it’s a dairy-free protein source that inherently includes three types of collagen and beneficial compounds like glucosamine, chondroitin and hyaluronic acid. It’s available in Pure, Vanilla, Chocolate, Turmeric, Salted Caramel, or Pumpkin Spice (seasonally) – we also have a line of savory sipping Bone Broth Protein products, which have 15 grams of protein per serving and are available in Chicken Soup, Tomato Basil or Butternut Squash flavors. Plant Protein+ is an entirely plant-based protein. Rather than relying on rice or pea protein, like most commercially available plant proteins, ours is a superfood-packed formula filled with seeds, adaptogenic herbs, mushrooms and more. It provides 15 grams of protein per serving and it’s available in Vanilla, Chocolate or Berry flavor.

Question 12

I have a dairy allergy, can I take Whey Protein?

Accepted Answer

No – Whey Protein is still a source of dairy. However, many people who are sensitive to traditional dairy products find they can more easily digest A2/A2 milk protein. However, be sure to consult your healthcare professional prior to use.

Question 13

What are BCAAs?

Accepted Answer

BCAAs, or Branched-Chain Amino Acids, are essential nutrients that the body obtains from proteins found in food. There are nine essential amino acids: histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan, and valine. These amino acids are vital for muscle growth, repair, and energy production. BCAAs play a crucial role in promoting muscle health, enhancing exercise performance, and supporting muscle strength and resilience, making them particularly beneficial for active individuals and those looking to maintain muscle mass, especially as they age. Since the body cannot produce BCAAs on its own, it's important to get them through diet or supplements. Whey Protein is a complete protein, which means it contains all nine essential amino acids.

Question 14

Why is A2/A2 milk protein easier to digest?

Accepted Answer

A2/A2 milk protein is often easier on the gut because it contains only the A2 type of beta-casein protein, which is more similar to the protein found in human milk. Most commercially available cow's milk contains a mixture of A1 and A2 beta-casein proteins. The A1 protein can break down in the digestive system to produce a peptide called BCM-7, which has been linked to digestive discomfort in some people. A2 protein, on the other hand, does not produce BCM-7, making it gentler on the stomach and less likely to cause occasional bloating or gas. As a result, many people who experience discomfort with regular milk find that A2 milk is often easier to tolerate.

Question 15

What’s the difference between whey protein concentrate and whey protein isolate?

Accepted Answer

Whey protein concentrate and whey protein isolate are both derived from cow’s milk, but differ mainly in their protein content and processing. Concentrate is a less processed option that retains more of the natural compounds found in whey, such as beneficial fats, lactose, and minerals. Isolate contains minimal fats and lactose due to more extensive processing. We believe in using whole, minimally processed options whenever possible, which is why we’ve chosen to include whey protein concentrate in this formula.

Question 16

Are your products produced in a facility with allergens?

Accepted Answer

We now have a disclaimer that is on ALL of our products: "Produced on equipment that also processes peanuts, tree nuts, milk, soybean, wheat, sesame, shellfish, fish, egg." This is a voluntary disclaimer and our formulations have not changed. Our manufacturers are required to have Policies and Procedures in place when it comes to handling and processing allergens. These allergen programs are in place to prevent cross contamination after each run by proper cleaning procedures. Allergen swab testing is also done after running an allergen containing product. We test finished products for allergens prior to designating as “Free” of. We also follow cGMP (current good manufacturing practices) which helps maintain allergen segregation.
