Question 8

What do you mean by "a healthy, reduced-calorie diet and healthy lifestyle, including regular exercise"?

Accepted Answer

In the studies of the clinically studied, proprietary key ingredient featured in Multi Collagen Advanced Lean† capsules, the study groups were counseled to follow an approximate 1,800-calorie-a-day diet accompanied by 30 minutes of walking five days a week for the 16-week study (for one demographic/group) and an approximate 2,000-calorie-a-day diet (for another demographic/group) accompanied by 30 minutes of walking five days a week for the 8-week study. In general, a healthy diet is one that includes high-quality macronutrients, including proteins, fats and carbohydrates in a reasonable, health-promoting ratio and excludes or minimizes ultra-processed or processed foods, fast foods, snack foods and more. Overall, consuming plenty of low-carb vegetables and low-sugar fruits (preferably organic), adequate clean proteins and performance fats in balanced amounts help to constitute an overall healthy diet. However, you should always consult your healthcare professional prior to beginning any new dietary or lifestyle regimen or making any changes to your current dietary or lifestyle routine. Overall, it’s crucial to note that potential weight loss benefits are not ever from dietary supplements alone. Dietary supplements are to be used in conjunction with an overall healthy, calorie-reduced diet and an overall healthy lifestyle, which includes regular exercise.

Question 9

What does “Key Ingredient” mean?

Accepted Answer

Multi Collagen Advanced Lean† capsules feature a proprietary key ingredient that is noted to communicate the association between that key ingredient and the corresponding benefits (via the studies) derived from that key ingredient. This proprietary key ingredient includes three standardized herbal extracts: moringa ( Moringa oleifera ) leaf extract, curry ( Murraya koenigii ) leaf extract, and turmeric rhizome extract ( Curcuma longa ) —each of which have been used historically in Asian and Indian foods. They were identified (among over 200 plants) for their healthy weight management benefits, including their ability to positively impact adipogenesis, also known as the formation of fat cells. This ingredient is not present in Multi Collagen Advanced Lean† Powder. NOTE: As always, you should consult your healthcare professional prior to beginning any new dietary or lifestyle regimen, including one that promotes healthy weight management or weight loss.

Question 10

If I am already taking 2 servings of Multi Collagen Protein per day, can I take Multi Collagen Advanced too?

It’s a well-rounded collagen product that can deliver head-to-toe support. Multi Collagen Advanced products are designed to support your specific goals, so you can absolutely take them together. Question 11

Accepted Answer

If you are looking to both build strength and lose fat†*, for example, you can take Multi Collagen Advanced Muscle† and Lean† formulas. (Note: Please refer to specific product pages for individual product benefits.) *In addition to an overall healthy diet and lifestyle, including regular exercise and/or regular muscle-building exercise.

Question 12

What does **Compared to diet and exercise alone for healthy overweight study participants and healthy study participants with a BMI > 30 mean?

Accepted Answer

Our proprietary key ingredient underwent studies with participants who were either healthy overweight individuals (a Body Mass Index, or BMI, that is 25 to 29.9kg) or healthy obese individuals (a BMI that is > 30kg). The benefits listed above were specific to these studies and these demographics, and also involved a healthy diet and lifestyle (including regular exercise). All those factors need to be considered as part of the outcomes.

Question 17

Why isn’t “protein” part of the product name?

Question 18

Can you explain what “collagen loading” is?

Accepted Answer

Our bodies are approximately 30% collagen, and most of us don’t consume enough collagen in our everyday diets. “Collagen loading” is when you consume up to three servings of collagen per day, most often from collagen powder or capsule supplements. Collagen loading can help support our body’s production of collagen, which naturally declines as we age. It can help support healthy joints, skin, hair, nails and more. Of course, you should always consult your healthcare professional prior to beginning any new dietary or lifestyle regimen, including collagen loading.

Question 19

What is bovine MCHA?

Accepted Answer

MCHA is microcrystalline hydroxyapatite, a compound derived from processing whole bovine bones, which gives bones their rigidity. Overall, MCHA contains highly absorbable calcium and phosphorus (along with other bone-supporting minerals or nutrients, such as magnesium, a calcium-binding protein called osteocalcin, collagen and bone growth factors like IGF-I and IGF-II), which are major minerals or nutrients found in bones. The body uses these nutrients to maintain healthy bones and connective tissues.
