Question 1

How does Hair Growth† + Collagen work?

Accepted Answer

Hair Growth† + Collagen is made to address stronger, thicker hair from the root first. It combines clinically validated key ingredients and 10 types of collagen, including an ingredient called spermidine HCl, which data shows can increase the anagenic phase of the hair cycle. The hair has several phases, and the anagenic can be one of the most important as it’s the growth phase of the hair cycle. Instead of just addressing a single interest – like hair growth† – this formula includes ingredients designed to promote visibly thicker, healthier, shinier hair. It reduces breakage and shedding and supports hair follicle health.

Question 2

Does Hair Growth† + Collagen work for all hair types?

Question 10

What is collagen?

Accepted Answer

Collagen is the most abundant structural protein in the body — especially type I — and is found throughout the body. As we age, natural collagen production declines, which can contribute to wrinkles, joint stiffness and reduced mobility. Collagen contains a whopping 19 different amino acids. Amino acids are the “building blocks of proteins,” and collagen includes a mix of both nonessential (also called conditional) and essential types.

Question 11

Is Hair Growth† + Collagen vegan/vegetarian?

Accepted Answer

Collagen is found only in animals, mostly in the flesh and connective tissue. There are no vegan collagen supplements (although there are vegan foods and products that can support your body’s production of collagen). As a result, Hair Growth† + Collagen comes from animal sources, so it is not vegan or vegetarian. We do have a Vegetarian Collagen Peptides supplement that comes entirely from our fermented eggshell membrane collagen, though!

Question 12

Where do you source your collagen from?

Accepted Answer

Our collagen is sourced from non-GMO, pasture-raised and grass-fed, cage-free sources. Our hydrolyzed bovine hide collagen peptides are pasture-raised and grass-fed in South America. The hydrolyzed fish collagen peptides come from sustainably wild-caught haddock, cod and pollock, harvested from North American waters. The proprietary, clinically validated fermented eggshell membrane collagen is sourced from chicken eggshells from USDA-regulated egg breaking facilities within the United States. Our sustainably sourced chicken bone broth protein concentrate also comes from non-GMO, U.S.-farmed chickens.

Question 13

Are your products produced in a facility with allergens?

Accepted Answer

We now have a disclaimer that is on ALL of our products: "Produced on equipment that may also process peanuts, tree nuts, milk, soybean, wheat, sesame, shellfish, fish, egg." This is a voluntary disclaimer and our formulations have not changed. Our manufacturers are required to have Policies and Procedures in place when it comes to handling and processing allergens. These allergen programs are in place to prevent cross contamination after each run by proper cleaning procedures. Allergen swab testing is also done after running an allergen containing product.
