Ingredients

Organic Ashwagandha Root and Leaf Extract
An adaptogenic super herb, our clinically-studied, organic ashwagandha is proven to help promote healthy energy support, help fight the effects of stress, promote a positive mindset and more.†

Organic Fermented Ashwagandha Root
Overall, fermentation is an ancient process used to break down food into more absorbable components—effectively “pre-digesting” them. During the fermentation process, key vitamins are often increased and even created, particularly B vitamins. We included this fermented ashwagandha so you could get all the benefits of fermentation.

Organic Black Pepper Fruit
We’ve added this versatile and health-focused spice to your ashwagandha because it generally helps improve absorption and digestion.

Quality
Powered By Fermentation
Ancient Nutrition fermented herbs are powered by fermentation—our own proprietary, patent-pending, dual-stage, live fermentation process. Fermentation helps break down food so you can absorb it more easily and get the great benefits. We ferment select ingredients on a farm owned by our co-founders so that we can ensure maximum quality.
Optimized for Absorption
Your body can often have a hard time breaking down useful nutrients like ashwagandha. That’s why we made absorption easier by adding fermented ingredients and including organic black pepper fruit, both of which generally help your body absorb nutrients so you can get its full effects.
USDA Certified Organic
We didn't choose just any ashwagandha—we sourced the highest quality organic ashwagandha. Why? Because nearly 20% pesticides are known as systemic pesticides—and are actually taken up inside the plant. Our ashwagandha ingredient is grown without prohibited pesticides, residues and harsh chemicals.

What is TCM?
The Traditional Chinese Method (TCM) is a system of wellness that dates back more than 2,000 years and is still practiced today. It works on the belief that Qi (which loosely translates to “vital energy” and is pronounced “chee”) is essential for overall health. TCM principles adhere to the idea that proper Qi is needed to keep all systems in balance.
This ties into the concept of yin and yang, defined as opposing but complementary energies. According to TCM, like Qi, yin and yang can negatively impact your health when they’re out of balance. That being said, a primary goal of TCM involves balancing their equalizing relationship.
One of the ways to do that involves using specific superfoods and herbs. TCM superfoods and super-herbs aim to support the overall health of the systems of the body. TCM aims to create balance in the body as a whole to promote wellness and Qi. When the yin and yang aspects of Qi are harmonized and balanced out, a person typically experiences overall wellbeing.
Who is this product intended for?
This product is for anyone who is looking to naturally support healthy energy levels, stress response, more restful sleep or mental clarity.† If you’re looking for better sleep, or if you’re experiencing a particularly stressful time in life, Ashwagandha can provide you with remarkable support.
How is TCM different than Ayurveda?
Both TCM and Ayurveda approach the body in a balancing way. They both address energy flow, circulation and balance in the body. For instance, that energy is referred to as “Qi” in TCM and “prana” in Ayurveda.
While there is overlap in some of the botanicals used in both TCM and Ayurveda, each tradition also utilizes specific plants and foods. Ayurveda was born out of India, so often recommends traditional herbs and foods widely available in that region. TCM often focuses on botanicals and fungi more readily available in China. While TCM may utilize more animal products, Ayurveda does tend to recommend more dairy, like ghee, compared to TCM.
In essence, TCM and Ayurveda are different ways to approach wellness and balance from different regions of the world.
