Butternut Bisque Recipe

Enjoy the sweet, nutty taste of this Butternut Bisque recipe for lunch or a light dinner. It’s a perfect transition into cooler fall days and evenings!

  • 2 Tablespoons Coconut Oil
  • 1 Red Onion, Chopped
  • 1 Large Butternut Squash, Peeled and Chopped
  • 2 Red Peppers, Chopped
  • 2 Cloves Garlic, Smashed
  • ½ Cup Sherry
  • 4 Cups Chicken Bone Broth
  • ½ Teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 1 Sprig Thyme
  • 1 Cup Chopped Celery
  • 4 Scoops of Bone Broth Protein™ TURMERIC
  • 1 Can Coconut Milk
  • ½ Teaspoon Each Paprika and Cayenne
  • Use Organic, Non-GMO Ingredients Whenever Possible

In a medium pot, heat coconut oil over medium heat. Once melted, add onion, butternut, red pepper and garlic and sauté for 10–15 minutes, until browned and fragrant. Deglaze pan with sherry and chicken bone broth. Add sea salt, thyme and celery, and simmer for 20 minutes. Remove sprig of thyme and purée with chicken bone broth in an immersion blender. Add Bone Broth Protein TURMERIC, coconut milk, paprika and cayenne, and heat on low, stirring to combine.
